These terms apply to every order placed with Moissanite America. By placing an order you agree to them. Please read them before you buy.

Made to order

Every piece is made to order. Nothing is taken from a shelf. Production begins once your payment has cleared, and your piece is cut, set and polished by hand to the specification you chose at checkout.

Prices and payment

All prices are shown in US dollars. Payment is taken in full at the time of order and only through this website. We do not accept payment by bank transfer, by email or over the telephone, and we will never ask you for card details outside the checkout.

If a payment is canceled, reversed or fails to clear after an order has been placed, we will write to tell you that the payment was rejected. The order is held and nothing is shipped until the payment is final and confirmed.

Changes to an order

Orders cannot be changed as a matter of course. If you need to request a change, email us with your order number as soon as you can. We will check what stage your piece has reached and tell you whether the change is still possible. Not every request can be met.

Production and delivery

Most pieces are ready in ten to fourteen working days. Delivery times vary by destination. We reserve the right to take up to six weeks in total from order to delivery, and where a delay is likely we will tell you. Every parcel is fully insured and tracked, and requires a signature.

Import duties and taxes

Any import duties, taxes or customs charges are set by the authority in the destination country and are the responsibility of the recipient. They are not included in the price.

All sales are final

Because every piece is made to order for one person, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds, returns or exchanges once an order has been placed. Please check your selections, your ring size and your shipping address carefully before you confirm.

Sizing

Rings are made to the size you give at checkout, half sizes included. If the size you ordered turns out not to be right, write to us and we will tell you whether the piece can be resized and what it will cost. Resizing is quoted case by case and carried out at your cost, and shipping in both directions is at your cost. Resizing is not possible on every design, and a full eternity band cannot be resized at all.

Care and handling

Gold and set stones are durable but not indestructible. Take your piece off before swimming, showering, exercising or entering a hot tub. Chlorine and salt water can permanently damage a metal finish and loosen a setting. Keep it away from household cleaners, sanitizers, bleach, perfume, hairspray and cosmetics, any of which can dull or discolor gold. Store it apart from your other pieces so nothing rubs against the stone. Damage caused by impact, everyday wear, improper storage or chemical exposure is not a fault in the piece and is not covered.

Inspection on arrival

Please open and inspect your piece the day it arrives, and in any case within 24 hours of delivery. If anything is damaged, missing or not what you ordered, photograph it and write to us straight away. Once that window has passed and a piece has been worn, we are not able to consider claims about its condition or its workmanship.

Ownership and risk

Ownership and risk pass to you on delivery. Once a piece has been delivered to the address you gave us and signed for, we are not liable for loss, theft, damage or alteration.

Repairs after delivery

Repairs and maintenance after delivery are quoted case by case and carried out at your cost, including shipping in both directions. We may decline work on a piece that has been damaged through misuse or altered by another jeweler.

Lost or damaged stones

If a moissanite comes out of its setting we will consider replacing it, provided the piece is identifiably ours and the stone was supplied by us. Any replacement is at our discretion, and the cost of the stone, the labor and the shipping is yours.

If something is not right

If your piece arrives damaged, or is not what you ordered, photograph it and write to us within three days of delivery. We will remake it or put it right at our cost, and we pay the shipping in both directions. This is the guarantee behind everything we make.

Materials and descriptions

Gold is solid 10K, 14K or 18K and is never plated. Chains are sterling silver 925. Every moissanite we set is genuine and comes with a Moissanite America Jewelry certificate, issued by email or as a printed card. Lab grown diamonds are supplied with their IGI or GIA certificate. Photographs are a guide. Because each piece is finished by hand, small variations are normal and are not a fault. Every material we use is verified as genuine before it reaches the bench.

All text, photographs and designs on this site belong to Moissanite America and may not be copied or reused without written permission.

Liability

Our liability in connection with any order is limited to the amount paid for that order.
