A pear cut lab grown diamond on a hand laid pave band, available from 1 to 4 carats.
Made to order. Allow up to six weeks.
A pear is a round and a marquise in one stone: full and brilliant through the wide end, tapered to a fine point at the other. Five prongs hold it, the fifth guarding the point.
Worn with the point toward the nail on a pave band, nothing draws the hand longer.
The band is set with a row of small stones along each shoulder, bead set by hand so the metal itself holds them and no prong is visible. You choose what those stones are.
Choose your accent stones
Moissanite accents. Moissanite returns more light than a diamond of the same size and is hard enough to be worn every day. At the size used on the shoulders the difference between the two materials cannot be seen, which is why most people choose it.
Lab grown diamond accents. One material throughout, shoulders included. The choice for anyone who wants the entire ring to be diamond.
The center stone is the same either way: a lab grown diamond, E to F color, VVS2 clarity, supplied with its own IGI or GIA report. Accent stones are matched by hand and are not certified individually, which is standard at this size.
Specification
Center stone: Pear cut lab grown diamond, E to F color, VVS2 clarity
Certificate: IGI or GIA report for the center stone
Accent stones: your choice of moissanite or lab grown diamond
Carat options: center stone 1.00 ct to 4.00 ct
Setting: four-prong center on pave shoulders
Metal: Solid 10K, 14K or 18K gold
Color: White gold, yellow gold or rose gold
Ring sizes: US 3 to 9, including half sizes
Engraving: up to 20 characters inside the band, at no extra cost
Made to order: 10 to 14 working days in the workshop, allow up to six weeks in all
Why a lab grown diamond
It is a diamond. The same carbon, the same crystal structure, the same 10 on the Mohs scale. It was grown in a chamber rather than mined, so its origin is known and documented, and it arrives with an IGI or GIA report issued in your name.
We set one grade and one grade only: E to F color, VVS2 clarity. There is no lesser stone to choose between, because we do not stock one.
Delivery
Made to order, set and polished by hand, then delivered to you insured and tracked.
We photograph your ring at each stage of making and send the pictures to you, so you see your own piece on the bench before it ships.
Our guarantee
If a piece arrives other than as ordered, or with a fault in our making, we put it right at our cost. Resizing and any other alteration is quoted before any work begins.
A cushion cut lab grown diamond on a hand laid pave band, available from 1 to 4 carats.
Made to order. Allow up to six weeks.
A cushion is a square with its corners softened and its facets opened out. The light it returns is warmer and slower than a modern brilliant gives, closer to the way stones were cut a century ago.
Pave shoulders finish it the way a period ring would have been finished.
The band is set with a row of small stones along each shoulder, bead set by hand so the metal itself holds them and no prong is visible. You choose what those stones are.

An emerald cut lab grown diamond on a hand laid pave band, available from 1 to 4 carats.
Made to order. Allow up to six weeks.
The emerald cut is a step cut rather than a brilliant. Long parallel facets return light in broad, slow flashes instead of scattering it, and the wide open top shows the stone exactly as it is. There is nowhere for a flaw to hide, which is why the cut is reserved for clean material.
The small stones along the shoulders supply the sparkle the center stone deliberately withholds.

An oval cut lab grown diamond on a hand laid pave band, available from 1 to 4 carats.
Made to order. Allow up to six weeks.
An oval carries its weight along the finger rather than across it, so it reads larger than a round stone of the same carat weight. The facets are cut to keep light moving from one end of the stone to the other.
The pave shoulders follow the same line and draw the hand longer still.
The band is set with a row of small stones along each shoulder, bead set by hand so the metal itself holds them and no prong is visible. You choose what those stones are.

A marquise cut lab grown diamond in solid gold, available from 1 to 4 carats.
Made to order. Allow up to six weeks.
The marquise is long and pointed at both ends, a shape first cut for the French court in the eighteenth century and little altered since. Carat for carat it covers more of the finger than any other cut.

Lab grown diamonds.
A lab grown diamond is a diamond. The same carbon, the same crystal, the same 10 on the Mohs scale. The difference is that it grew in a chamber instead of in the ground, so its origin is known and written down. Every stone we set arrives with its IGI or GIA report.
How they are grown
Every lab grown diamond starts as a thin slice of diamond called a seed. From there it is grown one of two ways. High pressure high temperature, or HPHT, puts the seed under the same crushing pressure and heat that forms a diamond underground. Chemical vapor deposition, or CVD, holds the seed in a chamber of carbon rich gas and builds the crystal up layer by layer. Both make the same material. What takes the earth a billion years takes a matter of weeks, and the result is a diamond by every measure a gemologist takes.
Grown, not mined
Because the stone is grown, we know exactly where it came from. There is no mine and no chain of hands between the ground and the setting. Growing a stone also uses far less land and water than mining one. Every stone comes with its IGI or GIA report, so none of this rests on our word.
One grade, every stone
Every lab grown diamond we set is E to F color and VVS2 clarity. We do not carry a lower grade at a lower price and leave you to work out the difference. There is one standard here, and it is at the top of the scale.
Six ready to order
Each one is a four prong solitaire in solid 10K, 14K or 18K gold. One carat starts at $2,550, and the ladder runs up through 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5 and 4 carats. Choose the shape, the carat and the gold, and we make it to your size.
Every shape is also made with a hand laid pave band, with your choice of moissanite or lab grown diamond accent stones. See all twelve.
Diamonds in color
Lab grown diamonds are not only colorless. We source and set them in color, and a colored stone is priced above a colorless one of the same size. A green marquise lab diamond in 14K gold, for example, is $3,150.
Cuts you will not find in a shop window
Euro cut, antique cushion, Dutch marquise, moval and other period and modified shapes can all be cut to order. If you have seen a cut you want, send us the picture. We will tell you whether it can be done and what it will take.
Every ring includes
An E to F color, VVS2 clarity stone with its IGI or GIA report
Engraving inside the band, up to 20 characters
A ring sizer sent to you first, at no charge, if you are not sure of the size
Insured and tracked delivery
Made to order, hand set and hand polished, in 10 to 14 working days
If you want something else
Tell us below what you are picturing. The shape, roughly the size, the gold, and anything you have seen and liked. If you have not decided yet, say that too.
What happens next
We read it the same day and reply by email, usually within 24 hours, with the stones we can source and the report for each one.
You choose the stone. Nothing is charged until you have seen the certificate and agreed the piece.
We make US ring sizes 3 to 9, including half sizes. If you need a size outside that range, write to us before you order and we will arrange it.

A marquise cut lab grown diamond on a hand laid pave band, available from 1 to 4 carats.
Made to order. Allow up to six weeks.
The marquise is long and pointed at both ends, a shape first cut for the French court in the eighteenth century and little altered since. Carat for carat it covers more of the finger than any other cut.
On a pave band the line runs unbroken from one point to the other.

If a piece arrives other than as ordered, or with a fault in our making, we put it right at our cost. Resizing and any other alteration is quoted before any work begins.
